Terms & Conditions

Definitions. Sweet Serenity Rentals refers to its owners, its employees & volunteers.

Inventory. Refers to items owned by Sweet Serenity, and which the Client enters into this Contract for rental.

Rental. Sweet Serenity agrees to rent the Inventory to the Client for a rental period. One rental period includes pickup the day before the event and drop-off the day following the event, essentially a 3-day period. If the event occurs on the weekend, pickup with be Thursday or Friday and drop off will be on Sunday, or Monday by appointment. 

Weather. In the event of rain or snow or the ground being wet do not put any of the furniture or rugs outside due to them possibly getting damaged.

Reservation. Reservations require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon signing rental agreement. The balance is then due two weeks before the event. Deposits cannot be transferred to different rentals. If a rental is removed from the order, you will forfeit the deposit.

Cancellation of an item. If an item or group of items are removed from your order two weeks prior to your event you will forfeit the 50% non-refundable deposit per item. If the cancellation occurs within two weeks of your event, you will forfeit 100% of your full payment. Deposits cannot be transferred to different rentals.

Cancellation of an order. If an order is cancelled two weeks prior to your event, the 50% non-refundable deposit will be placed as a credit onto the Sweet Serenity client account to use within a year of your cancellation date.  If the cancellation occurs within two weeks of your event, you will forfeit 100% of your full payment.

Late Fee. Items not returned on Monday or at the agreed time will result in an automatic late fee of $50 per 24 hour period every day the inventory remains on return up to a week or until a replacement fee is processed.

 

Return. All returns must be scheduled in advance and made to 101 S. Broadway, Spring Valley MN 55975

 

Damage. In the event rental property is not returned, is returned in a broken or damaged condition, or is returned late, the Client will be charged the replacement fee of five times the rental rate. The Client must immediately report any damage that occurred during pick up, any missing items or any problems with the inventory immediately upon discovery to: (507) 517-0574. Any reports of damage, missing items or problems with the inventory that are not reported until after the event will not be credited and will be presumed to have occurred while in the Client’s possession. The replacement fee will be sent an invoice through Honeybook.

Cleaning / Repair. All items are subject to additional cleaning, repair and replacement charges upon Sweet Serenity's inspection. It remains the sole discretion of Sweet Serenity to determine whether the property is clean and/or undamaged upon its return. The client agrees to assume full responsibility for the payments of these additional charges, which will be charged separately.

 

Care and Return. Client shall use all property in a careful and proper manner, shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations and shall return the property in the same condition as when received. If rentals are not returned in the same conditioned as they had left & need to be cleaned. A cleaning fee of $25/per hour will be invoiced to the client through Honeybook. The client hereby assumes all risk of loss and damage to the property from any cause whatsoever. Inventory, packing containers, and material should never be left outdoors unprotected from the elements, as significant damage will result.

 

Washing. All goblets, cupcake & cake stands must be wiped down and free of all food remnants prior to return to Sweet Serenity. Client agrees to follow washing instructions. All rentals must be repacked in the same way they were received and in the same containers. Instructions include: (1) Scrape food, (2) wiped down, (3) Pack and return in containers. If items are not cleaned as instructed a cleaning fee of $25 per hour will apply. Cost of packing material replacement will apply.

 

Furniture/Backdrops. All furniture & backdrops must be transported in an enclosed vehicle or trailer. Furniture or Backdrops will not be loaded without the proper enclosure.

 

 

Availability. In the event we are unable to provide the rental item or a similar replacement, we will refund the deposit for that item.

 

Payment. We accept cash, Venmo and all major credit cards. A credit card processing fee will be applied at payment. We do not accept checks. While prices and availability may vary over time, all prices are guaranteed after signing this rental agreement.

 

Liability. Client acknowledges and agrees that under no circumstances will Sweet Serenity or any of its owners, employees, agents and/or representatives be liable for any damages or claims of any kind from the Client arising out of or in connection with the rental property. Send damages or clients include, but are not necessarily limited to compensatory, pecuniary, non-pecuniary, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages. Set damages or claims include, but are not necessarily limited too, damages or claims for or related to physical injury or illness Indemnification. Client agrees to defend, indemnity and hold harmless Sweet Serenity from any claims of any kind arising out of or in connection with the rental property.  

 


 


 

Payment Policy
A 50.00% deposit is required to confirm your contract and full payment will be due 14 days prior to delivery/pick up/install. 

 

Additional fees will apply for credit card and e-check/ACH payments 

 

 

General Cancellation Policy 

To ensure availability of all services and products, deposits are nonrefundable. You may remove one or more item(s) from your order, or cancel your entire order, according to the following schedule, but the following cancellation fees will apply, subject to any category specific cancellation policies:

 

  • You may remove items from your order at any time and no additional cancellation fee will be charged.
